The bearings are not common so they're really expensive. It's easy to separate the front half of the box from the rear half though. You really need access to a press to do it all properly, and a 30mm thin walled deep socket (I made one) to undo the output shaft nut. The shift shafts can be a bit of a pain though. However make sure it is a GL-4 75w90 gear oil. Do not use a GL-5 oil in the transmission. While we're at it, the differential takes a 75w90 GL-5 gear oil. Many prefer the Red Line 75w90.
